The school lacks a lot of teaching and learning materials to promote effective teaching and learning in the school (textbooks, books, pens, pencils, exercise books, school bags, erasers, computers and many more). Most of these pupils come to school without food to eat, sit on floor to learn, no proper toilet facilities for the teachers and the pupils. In view of this, the COAF Foundation is appealing to the generous People, Organizations, Religious Bodies in and outside Ghana to come to our aid.
The Foundation has begun organizing the parent, children and youth with disabilities in various towns and villages with sensitization programme on disability and disability-related issues. Hope this leads to the first parent support group in the Ahafo-Ano South District in the Ashanti Region of Ghana.
I, the Executive Director always say Most of the Disabled in our various communities especially Women and Children are being neglected by us due to their various disabilities, and they finally indulge in all social vices such as school drop-out, stealing, armed robbery, rape, and many more which have a great negative impacts on society. In view of this, they need our respect, caring and attention for them to become productive and responsible human beings in the near future to solve some of the world societal problems.
The COAF Foundation has thought it wise by joining hands with the Mother of all Nations – United States of America and all other developed countries such as Australia, Canada, China, France, Germany, Japan, United Kingdom and many more to make difference in those disabled people\’s lives.
